Jig Tape
Jig Tape is All*Star’s version of a double-sided film tape for use in CNC router applications. It has an aggressive adhesive on the bottom side to stick to the spoilboard. And it has a less-aggressive adhesive on the top side so that it will release finish parts, not becoming “confused” as to where to anchor.
The inherent downside of Jig tape, or any double-sided tape, is that it starts to loose its effectiveness relatively early. This is a result of dust and particles collecting on the top side of the tape as sheet goods are moved on and off. As a result, Jig Tape is most effective on very short runs (one or two times). It is sold in a variety of widths from ¼” wide up to 4” wide.
