About Us
JOHN J. MURPHY, President
John Murphy created All*Star Adhesive Products in 1993 following over thirty years of experience in the pressure sensitive industry. He grew up in New York, NY and received a BA in English from Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts. While attending school he was also working for a local paper and packaging supplies distributor. After graduating he accepted a position in their sales department and “has been on the road ever since”. His career has been shaped by employment at Johnson & Johnson’s Industrial Tape Division, PERMACEL, where he gained knowledge of a variety of pressure sensitive adhesives and coating methods. Next the Seaton Corporation offered him the opportunity to become more familiar with Urethane Foam Technology. Years of being employed as a manufacturer’s rep introduced him to countless “specialty” coaters, manufacturers and fabricators of different types of foam, and a loyal customer base.
Today, John is the President of All*Star. He applies his vast knowledge of adhesive coated products to attract and find new business opportunities and products. He is currently working extremely hard to help shape and refine the v-groove tape product line to fit specific needs and surfaces of Solid Surface Fabricators. John deals with all human resource matters, production schedules and creates the budgets and forecasts that All*Star relies upon.
